What is myRewards?

myRewards is a loyalty programme and a refer-a-friend programme combined, with a few great extras. Join myRewards (it’s FREE) and you can earn rewards every time you or people you refer shop at women’s gift retailer pressies4princesses.co.uk. You can spend those rewards at pressies4princesses. Plus, through myRewards you can also save money at numerous other retailers. Here’s an introduction to myRewards

How do I join?

Joining is free and takes just a minute. All we need is a confirmed email address, a username and password. You can also add a welcome message for your friends and family to show on your Welcome Page, if you wish. Click here to join myRewards

What’s a Welcome Page?

The Welcome Page is the destination for your unique myRewards link. Anyone using your link will end up there. You customise the page with a personal message and your nickname/ friendly name. It’s a welcome to the friends and family you share your link with.

The Welcome Page also shows any current welcome offer for pressies4princesses (such as a discount) and any discount codes or offers from affiliated retailers we think you might be interested in.

Consider making your Welcome Page your start page for shopping. Then you can be sure your rewards will be tracked and you aren’t missing out on offers at pressies4princesses or perhaps another retailer.

What’s my special ‘Referral Link’

This is the link that uniquely identifies you and the people you refer to pressies4princesses. Using this link ensures your rewards are tracked. Make sure it’s the link you give to people you tell about pressies4princesses.

At the end of the link is your Welcome Page (see above). And, on this page visitors will find any special introductory offer at pressies4princesses. So, they get the benefit of saving money. Savings at other retailers will also frequently be shown here.

How do I ensure I receive my rewards?

Firstly, always use your special link to visit pressies4princesses. You can add it to your bookmarks in your browser to make this easy.

Secondly, you can make a manual claim. We’ve introduced this facility because tracking can never be 100% accurate, but adding manual claims means your myRewards can be! You log into your myRewards account to make a claim.

How does myRewards tracking work?

We use cookies and database records to ensure consistent and accurate tracking. You can’t shop at pressies4princesses without allowing cookies from the pressies4princesses domain. So, if you or a referral can checkout, we can track them. We also have a manual claim facility as a fail-safe back-up.

What happens when I refer someone?

We tag them with a cookie registering you as the referrer. This cookie lasts 60 days and then expires automatically. This cookie operates on a last value stands basis. So, if someone else then refers the same visitor then they will replace you as the registered referrer. This would also happen if the user responded to one of pressies4princesses advertisements on other websites. It’s commonsense that it was the last ‘referral’ that generated the order and this system reflects that. It is the only way to ensure fair allocation of rewards.

Of course, the Internet is a very big place indeed, so don’t be overly concerned about people or advertisements poaching your rewards! In reality people will mostly use your link when they are looking to buy a gift and typically browsers convert to buyers within 24hours or not at all.

What if someone I refer joins myRewards?

When someone registers after coming in through another users myRewards link, we record the original referrer (let’s call her Anna) against the new user’s (let’s call her Barbara) account.

The first order tracked against the new user’s (Barbara’s) link (whether made by them or someone else using it) is then credited wholly to the original referrer (Anna) and not the new user.

For all subsequent orders tracked through the new user’s (Barbara’s) link, the original referrer (Anna) receives a 2.5% reward. Plus, the new user (Barbara) gets the regular standard rate of 10%.

So, by recruiting new myRewards users Anna will benefit from the full reward on Barbara’s or Barbara’s referrals first order. Anna will then get a 2.5% reward on every single order Barbara makes or generates through her link from non-registered users.

Now, say Carrie who Barbara brought in with her myRewards link, joins the programme. At this point, Barbara is registered as her original referrer. And, the link from Carrie’s orders to Anna’s rewards is cut. When orders are tracked through Carrie’s link, Barbara is credited as the original referrer and Anna no longer receives any rewards.

But, for all Barbara’s referrals who are not registered at the point of reward, Anna continues to receive 2.5%. And, Anna will always receive 2.5% of Barbara’s orders as rewards.

This seems the fairest way to protect myRewards users’ referral earnings, while ensuring the scheme is economically viable for pressies4princesses.

I visited through someone else’s myRewards link, can I join?

Yes, of course. The first order tracked back to your own myRewards account will be credited to the person who originally referred you. They will receive the full reward; you will receive nothing. For subsequent orders tracked to your account, you’ll get the full 10% reward and they will receive a residual of 2.5%.
